Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB), a regional rural bank sponsored by State Bank of India, has selected IBM's hardware platform to run its mission critical core banking application.
APGVB stated in a press release on Tuesday that it chose to implement IBM's System x servers across its 530 branches after a careful evaluation. IBM secured the deal after demonstrating the performance, reliability, availability and redundancy provided by the IBM platform.

We will continue to support their endeavorus and enable their ongoing operations and future expansion programmes,” said Ajay Mittal, IBM India vice president - general business, systems and technology group.
