The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) handled 41 debt issues of the Centre between April 2002 and February 2003. During the 11-month period, the apex bank raised Rs 32,941 crore through nine fresh issues and Rs 53,764 crore through the re-issue of 15 government securities.
