Bengaluru-based public sector lender Canara Bank has informed BSE that its executive director V S Krishnakumar will hold additional charge of the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank for a period of three months from the date of assumption of charge or till the date of appointment of regular MD & CEO or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
The move comes after the Appointments Committee of Cabinet's order dated December 12, 2014. Krishnakumar will hold the additional charge in view of the delay in appointment of regular MD & CEO to the Bank. The previous chairman and managing director of Canara Bank R K Dubey retired on September 30, 2014 on attaining the age of superannuation.
