Germany's biggest lender Deutsche Bank has named Indian-origin Dixit Joshi as its group treasurer.

Joshi was head of the debt institutional client group and head of listed derivatives and market clearing in the corporate and investment banking (CIB) arm of the bank.  Dixit succeeds Alexander von zur Mühlen, who served for seven years as treasurer.

"He (Dixit) has contributed to numerous industry-wide initiatives, including serving as a board member of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. He will report to Marcus in his role as CFO," said an internal note by Garth Ritchie and Marcus Schenck, global co-heads of CIB. The note has been reviewed by Business Standard.

Joshi's move comes as Germany's biggest bank shakes up its senior management team and decided to restructure some of its arms as it said it would hit the market to raise $8.6 billion through share sale. Another Indian origin, Anshu Jain, was the bank's global co-head from 2012 to mid-2015.
