Diebold to manage 1,100 Axis Bank ATMs in India

Diebold India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diebold, Incorporated announced the signing of a two-year managed services agreement with Axis Bank, India's third-largest private sector bank. Diebold will manage more than 1,100 of the bank's ATM (any time money) machines in India. Axis Bank has more than 1,200 branches and more than 5,500 ATMs across India.

Diebold, as a part of the managed services agreement, will support Axis Bank with services such as ATM incident monitoring, vendor management, cash forecasting and replenishment services, caretaker services, consumables management and site maintenance.

Diebold managed services is a partnership approach that leverages global best practices, economies of scale, accumulated vendor experience and knowledge. This ensures continuous improvements, operational efficiency and cost reduction for customers.

Diebold's managed services facility in India is equipped with technology for the remote monitoring of ATMs, content delivery, currency management, cash optimisation, electronic journal upload, and transaction processing and security services.
