Executive Director Appointments At Public Sector Banks Raise Frowns

The appointment of executive directors (EDs) to public sector banks by the finance ministry has raised a few eyebrows.

Of the 11 general managers on the shortlist, based on the order of merit, two from the bottom, who have been on the waiting list, and the second and third candidates, from the top, have made the grade.
