The reconstituted board of the Aluva-based Federal Bank has decided to keep on hold the proposal to split the post of chairman and managing director (CMD).The thorny issue of splitting the post has been kept in abeyance for the time being, bank sources said. The reconstituted board met yesterday for the first time after the decision of the Company Law Board (CLB) declaring ICICI Bank nomineesnominees, P H Ravikumar and A M Saleem, elected to the board. "The two have joined the board," officials said. The board now has eight members, and the strength would go up to nine members once executive director K S Harshan joins the board, they added.
