Foreign exchange reserves increased $163 million to $131.178 billion for the week ended December 31, 2004 when compared with $131.015 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the RBI today.Foreign currency assets increased $115 million to $125.164 billion, and gold reserves moved up $42 million to $4.582 billion. While SDRs were unchanged at $5 million, the Reserve Tranche Position (RTP) with the IMF was up $6 million to $1.427 billion.
