Foreign exchange reserves increased $2.979 billion to $132.959 billion for the week ended February 18, 2005 from $129.98 billion in the previous week, according to the weekly supplement released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today.Foreign currency assets moved up $2.975 billion to $127.152 billion. While gold reserves were unchanged at $4.390 billion, SDRs declined $5 million to $5 million. The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF was up $9 million at $1.412 billion.
