Geojit Financial Services on Wednesday launched its property services division. The division would offer investors and builders a platform to buy/sell residential apartments, office and commercial space in various cities of the country. Based in Kochi, the new division will operate in Kerala in the first phase, said CJ George, managing director of the company.
The company is also proposing to tap into the large NRI population in the Gulf region to meet their property investment needs by leveraging its presence through Barjeel Geojit Securities in UAE and Aloula Geojit Brokerage Company in Saudi Arabia.
Elaborating on the venture, George said the aim was to have an organised broking division in the real estate segment with a pan India presence.
The company would not enter into property development and construction of buildings but would take care of all the requirements of the customers including valuation, arranging loan, and registration.
Geojit has already tied up with MIR Realtors, Abad Builders and RDS Projects and with HDFC Bank to offer the services. It would soon tie up with ICICI Bank.
