The government has invited applications for the post of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Export Import Bank of India (Exim Bank).
The appointment will be for a period of five years with a salary scale of Rs 75,500-Rs 80,000, the Ministry of Finance said in a public announcement.
"The CMD will have an overall executive responsibility for the institutional development and day-to-day running of the bank and will be accountable to the board of directors," the announcement said.
T C Venkat Subramaniam is the current CMD of the bank which finances, facilitates and promotes India's international trade.
The bank often operates as an executive arm of the government by routing lines of credit to various countries on behalf of the state.
