HDFC Bank has reported a 30.63% increase in net profit at Rs 665.56 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 when compared with Rs 509.50 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004.According to a release issued by the bank to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 3,744.83 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 3,028.96 crore in FY04.The bank posted a net profit of Rs 202.37 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 154.72 crore in Q4FY04. Total income increased to Rs 1,087.27 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 806.31 crore in Q4FY04.The board has recommended dividend of 45% i.e Rs 4.50 per equity share of Rs 10/- each for the year ended March 31, 2005, the release added.
