HDFC Bank has reported a 29.34 per cent increase in net profit for the second-quarter ended September 30, 2002, at Rs 89.7 crore, as against Rs 69.34 crore over the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The net profit for the six months ended September 30 showed a 31.02 per cent increase to Rs 172.1 crore against Rs 131.4 crore the previous year.
The total income grew by 23.12 per cent to Rs 1,163.72 crore for the six months period as against Rs 945.15 crore.

The other income grew by 41.1 per cent to Rs 202.8 crore, of which fees and commissions were at Rs 111.7 crore which grew at 54 per cent over the corresponding period of the previous year.
