ICICI Bank hikes NRE,FCNR interest rates

 According to an official release by ICICI Bank, it had hiked interest rates on NRE fixed deposits in the range of 0.33-0.35% in various maturity schemes.

NRE fixed deposits between 12-18 months would get 6.33%, while those maturing between 3-10 years will receive interest at the rate of 6.35%.

Interest rates on FCNR deposits in dollars have been raised in the range of 0.04-0.12%; in pound sterling from 0.09-0.25%; in euro from 0.09-0.23% and in yen from 0.04-0.05%.

However, in yen-denominated deposits, interest rates on certain maturities
have been lowered. While deposits between 24-36 months will get
a lower interest rate of 0.81% as against the present 0.84%, those between 36-48 months would receive a lower interest rate of 1.13% as against the current 1.15%.

Interest rates on FCNR deposits denominated in Australian dollars have been raised in the range of 0.30-0.38%, while those in Canadian dollars have been increased from 0.10-0.23%, the release said.
