ICICI Bank customers can book rail tickets from IRCTC by sending two SMSs. The cost of the ticket will be directly debited from the customer's savings account, said a press release from the bank.

For booking the ticket, customers whose mobile numbers are registered with ICICI Bank and IRCTC have to send an SMS to 139, for booking the ticket. The SMS should start with 'Book' and must mention the train number, home city, destination, travel date, class and details of the passengers like name, age and gender.

Then the customer will receive a message with details of transaction, amount (ticket amount +IRCTC service charge) and seat availability.
