Kotak Mahindra Bank enters social commerce space

Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank has entered the social commerce space by allowing its customers who are registered for #banking to order movie tickets with a tweet.

The lender has entered into a tie-up with PVR Cinemas whereby its customers can tweet for tickets for Bajrangi Bhaijaan. This feature will be available on July 12. After the customers tweet, their account will get debited and simultaneously they will receive the code through which they will get the tickets at the theatre.

Earlier, it had also tied up with author Amish Tripathi, allowing its customers to tweet to order the book.

Kotak Mahindra and associates are significant shareholders in Business Standard Private Limited
