Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Financial Services on Monday said its consolidated net profit for the second quarter declined by 8.61 per cent at Rs 35.62 crore from the numbers in the corresponding period a year ago.
The firm had a net profit of Rs 38.98 crore in the second quarter of FY08, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Total income rose to Rs 331.05 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 290.07 crore in the same period last year.
On a standalone basis, the firm registered a net profit of Rs 35.22 crore, a 9.01 per cent dip over the corresponding numbers a year ago.
The company’s standalone income rose to Rs 327.58 crore in the September quarter from Rs 207.57 crore in the same period last year.
M&M Financial Services closed at Rs 190, down 3.06 per cent on BSE.
