State-run lender Punjab National Bank today posted a net profit of Rs 512.40 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008, a 20.54 per cent increase from the corresponding period a year ago.
The Bank had posted a net profit of Rs 425.07 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, PNB said in a release.
Total income increased to Rs 4,594.62 crore for the quarter ended June 30, from Rs 3,795.12 crore a year ago.
Shares of the bank were trading at Rs 472, up 4.55 per cent on BSE in afternoon trade.
