The Reserve Bank of India purchased, net of sales, $1.934 billion of dollars in October, data released on Thursday showed.
In September, the RBI had sold $60 million, net of purchase.
The gross purchase was $6.996 billion and sales were $5.062 billion. The outstanding net forward position of RBI was at $2.452 billion.
The gross flow in non-resident Indian deposits between April-September was at $10.114 billion, up from $6.473 billion a year ago. The outstanding NRI deposit as on September was at $121.840 billion.
