The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today announced the setting up of a technical advisory committee on monetary policy.The committee would meet at least once in a quarter to review macroeconomic and monetary developments and advise the central bank on the stance of the monetary policy, an official release said today.The committee, chaired by RBI Governor Y V Reddy, will include D M Nachane, S S Tarapore, R H Patil and Shankar Acharya. Deputy Governor in charge of monetary policy will be the internal member of the committee, the release added.
