With the dip in dollar, the rupee may test the 45 level again on Wednesday

  • The rupee ended at a five-month high on Tuesday at 45.0675/0750 per dollar on robust capital and trade inflows

  • The annualised premium on the six-month dollar eased 26 basis points to 2.04 per cent at close.

  • Gilt prices ended firm on Tuesday, bolstered by the cut petrol prices following a sharp drop in global prices.
  • The benchmark 7.38 percent 2015 bond ended at 7.1399 per cent and below Saturday's 7.2187 per cent.
  • Call rates ended higher at 6.00/6.25 per cent against Saturday's closing of 5.90/6.10
  • The 6-month forward premium ended at 2.04 per cent against 2.30 per cent on Saturday.
