  • Rupee rangebound today with oil companies buying up dollars. It ended at 45.09/10 per dollar, three paise weaker than Thursday's close of 45.06/07.
  • The currency hit an intra-day low of 45.16 against the greenback.
  • Six months annualised premium closed higher at 1.72 per cent (1.22 per cent) and the twleve months premium ended at 1.39 per cent (1.13 per cent).

  • Gilt prices went up almost 70 paise as the inflation rate was in line with market expectations. Traded volumes touched Rs 3,300 crore.
  • The 7.38 per cent 2015 paper closed at Rs 102.40, translating into a yield of 7.06 per cent, after dipping intra-day to Rs 101.72.
  • Volumes in treasury bills rose to Rs 800-odd crore as FIIs bought.
  • The Reserve Bank of India today injected liquidity of Rs 16,195 crore into the system.
  • Call rates remained tight at 6.00-6.25 per cent.
