The rupee rebounded smartly on today, gaining one-fifth of a percent on its previous session's six-week closing low on strong capital inflows. The euro's recovery from eight-month lows versus the dollar had also helped bolster sentiment in the rupee. The rupee closed at 43.69/70 per dollar, up from yesterday's 43.7750/7800.
