Real estate regulator at least 2 yrs away: Parekh

HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh said a real estate regulator can't come into existence during the tenure of current government. "We all have been pushing for the (real estate) regulator, it's in draft form and is not tabled in Parliament," he said, adding, "with the impending elections and the way things are moving, I don't see a real estate regulator seeing the light of the day." "I don't think we can see it now... maybe a year or two later," he said.

He praised the Bill saying it has been drafted well.
