Rupee higher on dollar sale by banks

Bullish sentiments in equity market help the rupee

The rupee strengthened in morning trade on Monday due to dollar sale by banks. The bullish sentiments in equity market also helped the rupee.

At 10:35 am, the rupee was trading at Rs 62.76 compared with previous close of Rs 63.11 per dollar.

According to currency dealers, the rupee may strengthen further during the day and settle near Rs 62.50 per dollar.
