The State Bank of India has launched 'SBI FinMart' which seeks to raise customer awareness, give new products a thrust and disseminate banking-related information under one umbrella.
"The concept is the first of its kind in the country," Chief General Manager of SBI's Orissa circle, Shiva Kumar said inaugurating FinMart at the main branch here yesterday.
Besides highlighting SBI's financial strength, FinMart aims at making available products like life insurance and mutual fund more readily available at the grassroot level, apart from tradional banking.
Stating that the SBI has the widest range of products supported by the best technology available, the CGM said the FinMart would cover 12 products including life insurance, Mutual fund, General Insurance, Demat, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Home Loan, Car Loan, SB account, SBI Card, Gift card and e-Z card.
The bank plans to introduce FinMart at all its urban centres and district headquarters, he said, adding Orissa was the first state to get the bouquets of products through FinMart.
All urban branches of SBI in Orissa would function as malls where products will be available under one roof, Kumar said.
