Speaking on the occasion Kumar informed that Lucknow Circle of the Bank has the distinction of successfully migrating all its 1,012 branches on CBS platform thereby affording its customers the unmatched facility of on-line, real time transactions from anywhere in the country.
Tracing the journey of CBS in Lucknow Circle, Kumar apprised that the first CBS branch was launched in August 2004 and in another four years time all branches of the Bank were on the core banking network.
According to Kumar, this move will help SBI regain its old customers that were earlier lost to comparatively smaller private sector banks, who were able to introduce core banking earlier.
