Standard Chartered has appointed Sanjeeb Chaudhuri as head of the newly-created role of group head of brand and chief marketing officer, effective April 1.
Chaudhuri will oversee all brand and marketing teams across the group globally.
He will report to Tracy Clarke, Director, compliance, people and communications, the foreign leneder said on Thursday. Recently, the bank announced re-organisation under which the wholesale and consumer banking businesses would be integrated.
Prior to joining StanChart, he was CEO of retail and commercial banking at Citicorp Europe, Middle East and Africa, as well as head of retail banking and CMO for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He had also held senior marketing and general management positions at P&G, Colgate-Palmolive and Unilever.

Chaudhuri, who joined StanChart in 2011, is currently regional head for South Asia and Chief Marketing Officer for the Consumer Banking Division.
