Visakhapatnam Cooperative Bank registered a total business of Rs 1,500 crore as of November 22. Of this, deposits constituted Rs 871.68 crore and advances Rs 629.82 crore.
With this, VCB has become the largest cooperative bank in south India in the scheduled and non-scheduled banks category. Till now this position was enjoyed by Mahesh Cooperative Bank, said Manam Anjaneyulu, chairman, VCB.
“Our bank took 91 years to achieve the first Rs 500-crore business mark and 2 years and 9 month for the second. To reach the third Rs 500 crore mark we have taken only 9 months,” he told mediapersons here.
VCB has 18 branches in the state.
