Qualification Doubts:

Q: I would be 21 years this January only.Can I apply?

A: No.The age limit fixed for LIC AAO recruitment is minimum 21 years & maximum 30 yrs, as on December 1, 2015.It means those born between 2.12.1985 & 1.12.1994 only are eligible.

Q: I have only 45% in UG degree but 60% in PG.Am I eligible?

A: Yes.It is enough for you to have passed in the degree.The percentage you scored in UG or PG doesn’t matter.

Q: I only have CGPA score.How to enter my marks in that application?

A: You should convert your CGPA pointers (out of 10) to marks (out of 100) & fill the form with these converted scores.

Q: I will be completing degree in May 2016.Shall I fill the online application?

A: No.According to LIC AAO 2016 notification, candidates must have completed their graduation on or before Dec 1, 2016.

So final years & those waiting for results are not eligible.

Exam Doubts:

Q: Is there Preliminary & Main Exam for LIC AAO?

A: No.There will be only one online exam for 300 marks that will be held on March 5, 6 & 13th

Q: Why is there no marks mentioned for English Language?

A: The english language test is only for qualifying purposes.It means candidates should compulsorily pass in this test but their scores wont be taken for calculating final scores.

Q: When shall i receive call letters for the online test?

A: LIC wont send call letters by post.Registrants have to download it by visiting their website from the last week of February 2016 onwards.

Service Bond Doubts

Q: What is the current salary of LIC AAO?

A: The approximate take home salary for LIC AAO is approximately Rs.35,000 (varies slightly with job location).

A new payscale has been proposed & once its implemented, the LIC AAO salary after revision will increase to Rs.45,000/ month.

Q: Is there any service bond for AAO job?

A: Yes.The bond period is for 4 years, which all selected candidates are required to sign before joining.

Q: Is AAO job similar to Bank PO?

A: Both are completely different sectors & hence the job profiles are not same.

Q: Can I not quit the company before 4 years?

A: You can choose to leave the organization before the end of service bond period.But you should pay Rs.2 lakhs to LIC.

Q: I am currently working in a govt bank/ public sector organization.Can I transfer that bond to LIC?

A: There are rules permitting the transfer BUT we advice you to contact the HR or Legal department of your present company & get their opinion before proceeding to apply for this recruitment.

Q: I am working in private company.Is NOC certificate necessary?

A: Not required for private employees.No Objection Certificate is necessary for candidates who are working in government/ public sector undertakings only.
