Call on PM by Mr. Gen Nakatani, Defence Minister of Japan Mr. Gen Nakatani, Defence Minister of Japan, called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today. The Prime Minister condoled the loss of life of Japanese citizens in the terror attack in Dhaka earlier this month. The Prime Minister called for greater bilateral and multilateral cooperation against terrorism. Mr. Nakatani briefed the Prime Minister on the bilateral defence cooperation initiatives. The Prime Minister welcomed Japanese participation at the International Fleet Review in Vishakhapatnam in February 2016, and in the Malabar Exercise off the Japanese coast in June 2016. Mr. Nakatani also briefed the Prime Minister on regional developments in East and Southeast Asia. The Prime Minister said that he is looking forward to his visit to Japan later this year for the Annual Summit.
