Compensation to Project (Western DFC) Affected Persons by Railways An amount of Rs.4600 crore for land compensation and Rs.359 crore under Rehabilitation package making a total of Rs.4959 crore has been awarded (as on 31.07.2016) in the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (Jawaharlal Nehru Port to Dadri) Project for the Project Affected Persons (PAP) under the provisions contained in Railway Amendment Act 2008, Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013. The expenditure likely to be incurred on this account is Rs.6000 crore approximately. Completion of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor is targeted in phases by 2019.
