Government Appoints Two Part-Time Members to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India

The Central Government has appointed Dr. M. Jagadesh Kumar, Professor, IIT, Delhi and Shri Rajiv Sharma, former Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) as a part-time members of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India for a period of three years from the date on which they enters upon their office or until they attain the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier. Orders to this effect were issued in exercise of powers under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997.
