H. E. Ms. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh meets the PM H. E. Ms. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today. Prime Minister Hasina expressed condolences on the passing away of Smt. Suvra Mukherjee, wife of President Pranab Mukherjee. Prime Minister Modi thanked Prime Minister Hasina for her special gesture of visiting India to attend the funeral of Smt. Suvra Mukherjee. Fondly recalling his visit to Bangladesh in earlier this year in June, Prime Minister Modi thanked Prime Minister Hasina for the progress achieved in timely and peaceful implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement. Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Hasina welcomed the signing of the BBIN Motor Vehicle Agreement, and agreed to strengthen measures to increase regional connectivity. Prime Minister Modi invited Prime Minister Hasina to visit India for an official visit at the earliest. Prime Minister Hasina accepted the invitation.
