As a part of efforts to contain pollution of River Yamuna, Urban Development Minister Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu today inaugurated the Interceptor Sewer at Dwarka Sector-13. This is the first of the six such interceptor sewers being constructed accounting for a total length of about 59 kms. at a cost of Rs.1,962 cr. Interceptor sewer at Dwarka will trap the sewage from Pappankalan drain which discharges about 10 million gallons per day of sewage into Najafgarh main drain. Sewage trapped at Dwarka will be pumped to Sewage Treatment Plant at Dwarka.
