Relief operations have been stepped up after the visit of the Union health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan to Jammu on 13th September, 2014 and Srinagar on 14th September, 2014 to review the ongoing relief activities. The Minister met the Governor, Chief Minister, Health Minister, Chief Secretary & Health Secretary. He advised the State Government on Public Health Measures that need to be taken to prevent communicable disease outbreaks. To improve the outreach services, HFM recommended that boats may be mobilised to send medical supplies. He also assured the State Government of requisite assistance including doctors and medicines.
