Pending Cases in CIC Around 10,500 numbers of dak received in the Central Registry of the Central Information Commission was pending for scrutiny as on 16.11.2015. However, to clear this backlog, a special drive was undertaken by deploying large number of staff from 16.11.2015 to 26.11.2015. As a result, a total of 11,643 daks pending in the Central Registry as on 26.11.2015 including 1,143 new receipts were scrutinized and requisite action for registration of the cases as complaints/appeals was taken. The Central Registry of the Central Information Commission has been strengthened to ensure that dak received in the Central Registry is promptly processed and appropriate action is taken thereon. This was stated by Minister of State in the Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh in Lok Sabha today in a written reply to a question by Shri Bharathi Mohan R.K and Shri B. Vinod Kumar.
