Shri Ananth Kumar visits the NFL Plant at Nangal The Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri Ananth Kumar has asked for preparation of a feasibility report for setting up a new Urea plant of 1.3 MTs per annum capacity at Nangal, Punjab. After visiting the Nangal Unit of National Fertilizers Ltd. today, he said that the present unit has required infrastructure and amenities and its further expansion can be undertaken to produce more Urea. The Minister said that the Government wants to produce more fertilizers in the country and reduce import dependence. Shri Ananth Kumar said that the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers is working on the Prime Minister's 'Make in India' mantra and in this regard several old and sick units are being revived and new units for Urea production are being put up. Shri Ananth Kumar said that there is no shortage of fertilizers in the country and in the last one year there has been a record availability of fertilizers for the farmers. Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, M.P. (Anandpur Sahib), Shri Madan Mohan Mittal, Industries Minister, Punjab, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab and several other dignitaries and officials were present on the occasion.
