Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurates NOC Application System Version 2.0 Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated NOC Application System (NOCAS) version 2.0 here today. NOCAS is an online No Objection Certificate Application System for height clearance for structures around the airports to achieve the objective of flight safety. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that flight safety and security cannot be compromised at any cost and we need to develop our systems in such a way that safety and security considerations are taken into account while ensuring progress towards economic development. Shri Gajapathi Raju congratulated the team of Airports Authority of India for coming out with an automated and transparent system accessible to all citizens. NOCAS version 2.0 has increased the transparency in the system, which will help in easing the business further, he added. Addressing the audience, Shri R N Choubey, Secretary, Civil Aviation referring to NOCAS version 2.0 said that Airport Authority of India (AAI) has given us a wonderful gift, which will go a long way in ensuring ease of doing business. He said that unnecessary human interface leads to delay and as quickly as possible, it has to be replaced electronically and online. He said that all the three organs of the Ministry of Civil Aviation are working hard to put majority of public dealing on online platform by the end of this financial year. Shri R N Choubey further said that International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Montreal has recently conducted safety audit for Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and security audit for Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and in both the audits, Ministry of Civil Aviation has come out with a flying colours. He also said that Ministry of Civil Aviation has given a go ahead for four Green field airports, three in Andhra Pradesh and one in Gujarat. AAI has been entrusted with the responsibility of issuance of No Objection Certificate for height clearance for structures around the airports to achieve the objective of flight safety. The NOCAS version 2.0 has been developed by AAI in collaboration with NIIT to make it more automated, robust and user friendly. During the event, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju received two dividends from Shri R.K. Srivastava, Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI). Other senior officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and AAI were also present on the occasion.
