Eleven rebels were killed in clashes with Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Commander of Revolutionary Guards Mohammad Hossein Rajabi said on Tuesday.
The Revolutionary Guards forces identified the 11 "counter-revolutionary" rebels as they intended to cross into Iran through its border city of Sarvabad in Kurdistan, Xinhua news agency on Tuesday quoted Rajabi as saying.
At least three troops from the Revolutionary Guards were also killed, he said, without specifying the date of the clashes.
