A suicide bomber blew himself up in Pakistan's garrison city of Rawalpindi today, killing four people near the country's military headquarters a day after Taliban suicide bombing inside a cantonment killed 20 troops.
14 people also injured in the blast that took place place near RA bazar.
According to initial reports, a suicide bomber riding a bicycle was intercepted when he blew himself near the market that killed four persons, including a 19-year-old student who was on his way to college.
Nearby buildings were also damaged due to the explosion.
Security was put on high alert throughout the area after the blast.
A senior journalist working for a leading paper and who lives in Rawalpindi said, "Heard it (blast) loud and clear. Windows vibrated".
The blast comes a day after Taliban militants struck the cantonment in Bannu in the northwest of the country, killing 20 security personnel and injuring 30 others.

Security forces reached the site immediately after the incident and cordoned off the area while the residents were forced to stay indoors.
