Former Chinese politician Bo Xilai has reportedly appealed his life imprisonment sentence for corruption charges.
The former Chongqing party secretary was found guilty of graft, receiving bribes, and abuse of power by the Jinan People's Intermediate Court and was sentenced to life in jail on September 22.
The Shandong High Court has said that it would consider Xilai's appeal according to the relevant laws, The Age reports.
However, political analysts believe that it is highly unlikely his verdict will be overturned, or his sentence altered, as it was possible that senior figures within the party had determined the verdict, the report added.
