Hollywood actor John Travolta is likely to star in director Shekhar Kapur's highly anticipated film 'Paani'. "I have been offered a film that I am considering doing... I believe it is an honest Bollywood film and it is called 'Paani', by Shekhar Kapoor. He has asked me to be a part of it," Travolta said on the sidelines of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards here.

"I have known Shekhar for a while now. Even though the script does not have it (songs) Shekhar said he will put a song to make it truly Bollywood. I am open to working in Hindi films if I like the story and my part," he said.

Travolta has watched a number of Hindi films like '3 Idiots', 'Lagaan', 'Krissh' and 'Ram Leela'. He also said he loved actress Priyanka Chopra's debut music album 'Exotic'.

"I recently saw the Romeo and Juliet film, 'Ram- Leela'. In that the first musical number was wow. I love the actress in 'Ram-Leela', (Deepika Padukone) she is amazing," he said.

Travolta will be honoured with the most popular International star of all time award at IIFA.

"I think awards like IIFA has a lot of credibility. I am happy to be a part of the grand celebration this year. There are so many awards (in the west) that the charm of the Oscars have diminished, no one can see the difference between the Golden Globes or the Oscars, I think in yours this (IIFA) is the big one and your country and people approve that," he said.
