Even after continued international pressure, Israel refuses to stop its operation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Israel is using twice the force it has used in the past and has attacked more than 1,000 targets, reports the BBC.

At least 121 people have died in the Israeli air strikes, said Palestinian officials.

Hamas militants from Gaza continue to fire rockets into Israel causing injuries and damage.

At least 750 people had died since Israel's Operation Protective Edge began, said the Palestinian health ministry.

A United Nations official said that 77% of people killed in the Gaza Strip had been civilians while Israel claimed that many terrorists were among the dead.
