Microsoft Ventures announces Accelerator Plus program for Indian startups

This program is for more mature companies which are closer to VC funding

Microsoft Ventures has reportedly announced its Summer 2014 batch for its new Accelerator Plus program in India.

While the company has shortlisted16 startups, six of them will be part of Microsoft's new Accelerator Plus program, in order to help mature companies which already have customer traction.

According to Tech Crunch, the Six startups joining Microsoft's new, late stage accelerator program include MyBusTickets.in, Praxify, Thinxtream, Touchfone, ZingHR and Zoom, while, the startups joining regular, early stage incubation program include Appointy, App Virality, Bookpad, Boutline, Imly, InstaSafe, IntouchApp, Metaome, Sliderule and Voonik.

The director of Microsoft Ventures Ravi Narayan said that this program is for more mature companies which are closer to VC funding, adding that most of them have made significant progress, so much so that the startup ecosystem is taking their eyes off them.
