President Barack Obama has briefed Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah on the interim agreement regarding Iran's nuclear program.

The White House says the leaders agreed yesterday to consult regularly on efforts by the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany to negotiate a comprehensive solution that would satisfy international concerns about Iran's nuclear intentions.

A weekend agreement between the parties temporarily puts the brakes on parts of Iran's disputed nuclear program and allows for more intrusive international monitoring of its facilities.
