Pak election commission dissolves Abdul Qadeer Khan's party

Pakistan's Election Commission has dissolved the membership of Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan (TTP) following the request of its chairman Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.

The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk, the Nation reports.

Two political parties namely Social Democratic Movement Pakistan and Mutahidda Aman Party were registered, the report added.

Pakistan Muhajir League, headed by Arsalan-ul-Mulk, was renamed as Aam Admi Party.
