A group of Taliban militants have reportedly attacked the Salang Pass, which is a key tunnel connecting the capital Kabul city with Afghanistan's northern provinces.
According to the Khaama Press, the militants launched an attack in northern Salang, where they targeted a security vehicle.
There are no reported casualities yet and security forces are currently engaged in a gun battle in the area.
This is the second time that the Taliban militants have launched an attack on the Salang Pass within two months.
The previous attack was launched on security check posts in July this year and was foiled by the Afghan security forces.
