Internet giant Yahoo is apparently ending this year on a low note with not even a single of its apps featuring in the top 100 chart on the Apple iTunes App Store.
Under CEO Marissa Mayer, the company made a lot of big and small acquisitions of start-ups, revamped its logo, which sadly appears similar to the older version, but failed in the mobile category that is considered the most lucrative by rival tech giants.
According to Tech Crunch, by comparison, Google has five apps in the list, followed by Facebook, which has three apps featured in the chart and Twitter has two apps.
Yahoo currently has 15 apps in the US App Store, excluding Tumblr, but none of these apps make it to the most-used app rankings as detailed by comScore.
comScore in its most recent figures noted that Yahoo Stocks (a widget), and Yahoo's Weather Widget are the company's most popular smartphone apps at the moment, respectively ranking 9th and 11th, with reaches of 29.9% and 23.6%.
