Multinational Internet Corporation Yahoo has announced that it will take over email productivity provider Xobni for a price of more than 30 million dollars, which will be the second major purchase in a week for the company.
According to Mashable, Yahoo had bought mobile video app Qwiki for 50 million dollars recently, with the company being on a buying spree under CEO Marissa Mayer, its 1.1 billion dollars purchase of Tumblr culminating just last month.
Sources in Xobni revealed that customers would soon be able to use Yahoo Products with the added advantages of Xobni in them.
The report said that Xobni was software that aimed to improve the functionality of customers' email by making it easy to search and discover all contacts including the ones that were not in the address book.
